Nash Daily: Blues Poach Ratcliffe, Bruins In On Pettersson?

Most of David Poile’s best deals during his 25-year run as Nashville Predators general manager came via trade, but he also had some great free-agent signings as well.

Nashville Hockey Now‘s Clay Brewer broke down the five best free-agent deals of the Poile era, which includes some of the top players in franchise history as well as a couple of former record holders. The full list can be found here.

Former Milwaukee Admirals forward Isaac Ratcliffe, who was acquired by the Predators on Feb. 26 for future considerations, signed a professional tryout with the St. Louis Blues on Thursday. The 24-year-old forward scored four goals and 16 points in 21 regular season games for the Admirals last season.

His had a memorable two-goal performance in Game 3 of the Central Division Final against the Texas Stars, and finished the postseason with three goals and four points in 10 games.
