Predators Re-Sign RFA Philip Tomasino To 1-Year Contract

The Nashville Predators have officially re-signed restricted free agent forward Philip Tomasino to a one-year contract valued at $825,000.



At just 23 years old, Tomasino spent the 2023-24 season competing for both the Predators and the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals. During his tenure with Nashville, he netted seven goals and recorded a total of 20 points across 41 games. In the AHL, he demonstrated impressive form, scoring 11 goals and accumulating 18 points in only 22 contests.

Drafted by Nashville as the 24th overall pick in the first round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Tomasino has amassed 70 points (23 goals, 47 assists), 227 shots, and 41 penalty minutes in 148 NHL games since making his debut in the 2021-22 season. Additionally, he has tallied 82 points (36 goals, 46 assists) in 89 AHL regular-season games and contributed 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists) in 31 Calder Cup Playoff appearances.

Prior to his professional career, he recorded 196 points (79 goals, 117 assists) in 190 OHL games with the Niagara IceDogs and Oshawa Generals. In his final OHL season, he finished fourth in overall points (100), ninth in goals (40), and tied for fifth in assists (60).

On the international stage, the Mississauga, Ontario native represented Canada at the 2021 World Junior Championship, where he scored six points (4 goals, 2 assists) in seven games, earning a silver medal. He also participated in the 2019 U-18 World Championship, where he notched five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in six games.
