The Nashville Predators have officially announced the signing of restricted free agent Juuso Pärssinen to a one-year, one-way contract. Under the terms of the agreement, Pärssinen will receive a guaranteed salary of $775,000, regardless of whether he plays in the NHL or the AHL.

Pärssinen, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2019 NHL Draft, has demonstrated his potential with a notable performance record. Since making his NHL debut during the 2022-23 season, he has accumulated 37 points in 89 games (14 goals, 23 assists). Originally from Hämeenlinna, Finland, Pärssinen also contributed to Finland’s success at the 2021 World Junior Championship, where he helped the team secure a bronze medal. He also made his Stanley Cup Playoff debut this past season, participating in Game 6 of Nashville’s first-round series against Vancouver.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, Pärssinen is a formidable power forward known for his skills and exceptional offensive and defensive awareness. These attributes align well with the preferences of coach Andrew Brunette, who showed favor to such qualities during his first year behind the bench for the Predators.

Prior to his assignment to the Milwaukee Admirals in January, Pärssinen briefly played on the first line alongside Filip Forsberg and Ryan O’Reilly. His size, speed and creativity provided valuable support to his linemates.
