Nash Daily: Is Brunette A Jack Adams Favorite?; Reinhart Scores 50

Brunette

Following their 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, the Nashville Predators are riding a 17-game point streak and are the hottest team in the NHL, and head coach Andrew Brunette is a big reason why.

Because of their late-season turnaround, that’s included a 15-0-2 run with back-to-back shutouts, Brunette should be a front-runner for the Jack Adams Award, which is given annually to the top head coach in the NHL.

Brunette currently has the fourth-best odds (+1500) to win the award.

The Florida Panthers snapped their four-game losing skid on Sunday as forward Sam Reinhart scored two goals to key a 4-1 win over the Philadelphia Flyers.

It’s Reinhart’s first season with 50 or more goals, and his 83 points are a new career high, topping the 82 points he had in his first season with the Panthers during the 2021-22 season. Since being traded to Florida three years ago, Reinhart hasn’t had fewer than 31 goals or 67 points in a season.

Filip Forsberg had one heck of a night in Nashville’s 1-0 win over the Red Wings on Saturday, dropping the gloves with Moritz Seider and scoring the game-winner. You can read the plus/minus report here.

Kevin Lankinen is one of the better backup goaltenders in the NHL, and his recent shutout of the Panthers proved exactly that.
