Denis Gurianov scored two goals, Joakim Kemell and Philip Tomasino each scored one as Team White beat Team Gold 3-2 in the Nashville Predators Gold Star Showcase Thursday night in Clarksville.

First-year head coach Andrew Brunette and center Colton Sissons spoke to reporters after the exhibition.

Tomasino had four shots on goal in 12:26 of ice time in Wednesday’s preseason loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Predators have as many as four spots open in their top six, and playing in an offensive-friendly system like Brunette’s might help the 22-year-old Tomasino lock one up.

On the latest episode of “The Gold Standard” podcast, Nashville Hockey Now’s Michael Gallagher and Braden Gall of 440 Sports gave their impression of the new-look Predators three games into the preseason plus discuss what to expect from the team’s top prospects knocking on the door of the NHL roster.
