He was dealt by the Stars to Montreal in exchange for Evegnii Dadonov back on Feb. 26 scoring 17 points in 66 contests last season.
Gurianov likes to shoot the puck as his 46 shots in 23 games with Montreal indicates. He was only behind defenseman Mike Matheson who had 64 shots after Gurianov made the shift to the Canadiens.
With 280 games under his belt as an NHL skater he’s also spent time with the Texas Stars playing in 190 games. In the AHL he scored 112 points as he developed within the Stars organization.
Gurianov was part of the Stars team in the bubble that went to the Stanley Cup Final against the Tampa Bay Lightning and now current teammates Ryan McDonagh and Luke Schenn.
He dressed in all 27 postseason games and was second on his team in goals (9) and sixth in points (17) during the Stars’ run to the final in 2020.
