Nash Daily: Laviolette To New York, Panthers Facing Elimination
Three years after John Hynes was chosen as his replacement as head coach of the Nashville Predators, it appears Peter Laviolette is returning the favor.
Both Laviolette and Hynes were in consideration for the head coaching job with the New York Rangers, and it as Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported, it’s looking like Laviolette will get the job. Washington Hockey Now’s Jared Serre has more details here.
There is word this afternoon the NYR and Peter Laviolette are gaining momentum. Nothing is done until it’s done, but, barring a swerve, looking like Laviolette as next Rangers head coach.

The Predators have 10 players set to hit restricted free agency including key players like forward Cody Glass and defensemen Alex Carrier and Jake Livingstone.
