Welcome to Nashville Hockey Now, your new home for Nashville Predators coverage.

Some of you may know me from my time covering the Predators for various news outlets over the years, most recently at the Nashville Post.

I started covering the team in 2015 and quickly realized what an untapped market Nashville is for hockey coverage. Predators fans are some of the most loyal and passionate people I’ve had the pleasure to interact with, which is why I’m thrilled to launch Nashville Hockey Now to serve the fanbase and provide the kind of insightful reporting that’s been missing from some local coverage of the team.

I also won’t be going at it alone. Nick Kieser, who you may know from 102.5 The Game, will be joining me. Nick grew up playing and watching hockey through high school when he decided to pursue a career in journalism. He started as a part-time producer with The Game and now produces both of the station’s mid-day shows, and he also produces shows for the Predators Radio Network and hosts a pre-game segment with other writers across the NHL to preview each game.

Nashville Hockey Now is here to serve as a one-stop shop, bringing you the latest news, feature stories, prospect coverage, exclusive interviews, and year-round analysis of the Predators to keep you well-informed. I will also continue to co-host the Gold Standard podcast every week with Braden Gall and 440 Sports as well.

We also welcome feedback from you, the readers, as possible. We want to know how we can make the site better for you — everything from the kind of stories you’d like to read to what kind of audio/video content you’d like more of.

As part of National Hockey Now — a growing network of hockey journalists who produce some of the best written and digital content around — we hope Nashville Hockey Now can match the standard set by some of the network’s longer-tenured sites. By the end of the week, National Hockey Now will be in 17 NHL with beat reporters, columnists and a staff of professionals who simply love the sport.
